The City Hall of Torrevieja, through its Department of Social Welfare, has launched a new version of the program “Concilia Verano 2026”, designed to facilitate the reconciliation of family and professional life during the summer, offering a safe, educational and entertaining space for children.
This summer school will operate in July and August 2026 at the CEIP Maestro Salvador Ruso primary school and is intended for children born between January 1, 2014 and December 31, 2022 – that is, between the ages of 4 and 12 years old, registered in Torrevieja. The registration period will last until June 8, and it can be completed either electronically through the city hall’s electronic portal, or in person by filling out and submitting forms at the social security department.
Number of places and new program conditions
This year, the Concilia Verano program provides a total of 100 places for July and a further 100 places for August, as well as 10 additional places per month dedicated to students who need special educational support.
Key innovations include the introduction of free meals from 14:00 to 15:00 for all participating children who request it, as well as the launch of a morning group from 08:00. This aims to make it easier for parents who need to go to work early in the morning to reconcile professional life and family life.

The full program schedule will be as follows:
- from 08:00 to 09:00: morning group
- from 09:00 to 14:00: play and educational activities
- from 14:00 to 15:00: free lunch
- from 14:00 to 15:00: day group
Educational and entertaining activities
This municipal summer school will offer a comprehensive program of recreational and educational activities, adapted to the different ages of participants, promoting the development of values such as social skills, camaraderie, creativity, teamwork and a healthy lifestyle, always under the supervision of specialists.
In addition, the mayor’s office emphasizes that this program is an important tool to support families in Torrevieja during the summer – especially those families in which both parents work and need help guaranteeing adequate and quality care for their children during the school holidays.
How to apply
Applications for enrollment can be made for entire months – July or August – or for two weeks, allowing greater flexibility and adaptation to the needs of each family.
