According to the Salary Guide 2026 from LHH Recruitment Solutions, the Adecco group’s recruitment consultancy, the banking sector tops the ranking of the highest paid professions in Spain. Salaries for staff in senior and highly specialized positions – such as CEO, partner in investment banking, private equity, debt funds or general manager in asset management – can reach up to €250,000 per year.

Which sectors are among the leaders?

The study analyzed 15 economic sectors with the best prospects in the recruitment market and emerging trends in each of them. Outside of banking, the highest paying professions are concentrated in digital, insurance, life sciences and industrials for professionals with more than 10 years of experience in most cases.

Higher rewards are offered in the digital sector. In particular, we are talking about digital directors, who can receive up to 180,000 euros per year plus 30% in the form of remuneration (bonuses, additional payments, performance bonuses, etc.) in multinational companies and up to 130,000 euros per year plus 30% in the form of remuneration in small and medium-sized enterprises.

In the lifescience field, the salary of a medical director can reach 150,000 euros per year plus 20% in the form of remuneration in multinational companies. For plant managers, the salary can be 105,000 euros plus 25% in remuneration, provided they have extensive experience.

The insurance sector is also among the highest paid, with salaries of up to €140,000 per year plus 19% in remuneration for commercial directors. At the same time, in the manufacturing or tax and legal sectors, the salary is 130,000 euros plus remuneration for management positions.

In construction and retail, salaries can reach €120,000 per year plus remuneration. In sales and marketing, directors earn an average of €105,000, and this amount can be increased by 10% through different types of remuneration.

Who earns less than 100,000 euros per year

Below the mark of 100,000 euros per year are salaries:

• financial manager – 95,000 euros;
• security architect in the technology sector – 95,000 euros;
• director of the branch and head of the procurement department in logistics – 90,000 euros;
• HR director – 85,000 euros;
• dermatologist and radiologist – 80,000 euros;
• project development manager in the field of photovoltaic and wind energy – 70,000 euros.

In addition to the salary, they all receive remuneration, the amount of which ranges from 10% to 26%.
